5 arrested for stealing bikes

The Quick Response of operatives of the  Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo state command has  apprehended five suspects in Akure on September 29, 2018,  with suspected stolen items which include; motor cycle, umbrella stands with rims, bicycle, alternator coil, car seat frame, and bags contained car spare parts and refrigerator compressors.

The suspects names are; Abudu Soji, Arowosegbe Tobi, Amos Daniel, Adeleye Dolapo, Oluwasegun Dada, and Olusola Ebenezer.

The Hope  Metro gathered that Abudu Soji and Arowosegbe Tobi stole one motor cycle with registration number QW767FKJ from Ojota, Idanre on September 24, 2018, while  on September 28,2018, they stole alternator coil, umbrella stands and car seat frame from Dajuma road, Akure.

The stolen items were recovered from the shop of their accomplice, one Abubakar Abu,  whose   shop located at Araromi Street, has no number. However, Abubakar Abu was said to have  escaped arrest, while one Amos Daniel working with him was arrested.

Two other motor cycles suspected to be stolen were reportedly  recovered from the shop, after which Amos Daniel confessed that his master has sold the alternator coil.

In the  same vein, Dolapo Adeleye was arrested with some  stolen car spare parts packed in three bags, at Isinkan area, Akure. Also, Oluwasegun Dada and Olusola Ebenezer were arrested for stealing five refrigerator compressors from two workshops located at Dajuma road, Akure.

The state commandant, Commandant Pedro Awili while parading the suspects before journalists in Akure on Wednesday 3, October 2018, said the Corps is collaborating with other security agencies to rid the state of criminality.

He further added that the Corps also need information from the public to serve them better.

The suspects would be charge to court as soon as investigation of the case is completed.
