Agbi’s associates shock over death

Political associates, friends and relations of former Nigeria’s ambassador to Greece and Australia, Professor Olu Agbi are still shed shocked over his death on Wednesday.
Agbi, whose death caused ripples within the political circles was a big wig in the Peoples Democratic Party he was revered for his intellectual status.
An historian of global repute, the former Secretary to the State Government was in high spirit during the just concluded primaries of this party.
Among early callers at his Alagbaka residence were Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, former Governor of Ondo State, his Chief of Staff, Dr. Kola Ademujimi, a chieftain of the APC Chief Olu Adegboro, Professor Christopher Olu Aboluwoye, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, Mr. Sola Ebiseni.
The Hope correspondents observed that many of the mourners wore long and sober looks while some broke down and wept uncontroably.
Agbi according to a family, Mr. Ola Adedipe had complained of lack of sleep around 9.a.m as a esult of which he was rushed to the State Specialist Hospital where he died on admission.
In his condolence message, a former gubernatorial flag bearer of the PDP in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede described Agbi as a great leader.
Jegede wrote, “The true measure of yr stats as your title, Asiwaju. You never led from the rear, whatever anybody may say, you led from the front. Asiwaju, a loyal leader, a loyal patriot, a true son of Akure.”
