President Muhammadu Buhari, Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have on Sunday, felicitated with the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and a former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
The President in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Femi Adesina in Abuja affirmed that the former Lagos State Governor has inspired many leaders and has continued to nurture talents for the benefit of the country.
He acknowledged the role of the APC national leader in the stability of the party and advocating good governance.
According to the statement, “President Muhammadu Buhari joins the governing party, All Progressives Congress (APC) and its teeming members in congratulating Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his 69th birthday on March 29, 2021, sharing the joyous occasion with the former two-term Governor of Lagos State, whose acumen and influence continue to resonate round the country and beyond.
“The President rejoices with the “patriot and statesman” on the 12th colloquium, an intellectual gathering to commemorate his birthday, that had over the years turned into a veritable opportunity for discussing topical national issues, and harnessing ideas that will move the nation forward.
“Looking at the theme of the 12th Bola Tinubu Colloquium, “Our Common Bond, Our Common Wealth: Imperative of National Cohesion for Growth and Prosperity”, President Buhari believes the choice of further highlighting loyalty to the country and the shared vision that will bring harmony and well-being to everyone is most timely, clearly reflecting Sen. Tinubu’s patriotism and benevolence.
Arakunrin Akeredolu, on his own, described the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as legendary and a man of many parts.
He said the former Lagos State Governor is undoubtedly a famous person and many stories can be told about him.
The Governor who extolled the sterling virtues of the National Leader of the ruling APC as he clocks 69 years, described Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as a leader of leaders and a political colossus.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Richard Olatunde, lauded Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for his selfless service to the nation, adding that his doggedness and exemplary leadership are worthy of celebration at a time like this.
“Asiwaju, the Jagaban Borgu can best described as a man of many parts. Tinubu’s foresight in hunting for talents and leaders, particularly, those around him, has projected him to the admiration of many in the country and beyond”, Akeredolu stressed.
While recalling the roles of the APC National leader in the enthronement of democracy in the Nation, Governor Akeredolu noted that his efforts and dedication to the development of the country would remain indelible in the annals of Nigeria.
“Tinubu touches are all encompassing, long-lasting and inexorably memorable. He has been part of every development in the country. He has traveled so wide in the political journey of Nigeria much so that his personal sacrifices and political experiences have been consciously deployed for the benefit of Nigeria. Asiwaju still stands tall, desirous to offer more for the gains of the people of this country.
“Undoubtedly, Jagaban remains a leader of leaders and a political colossus providing ladder of choices for promising leaders to grow and enrich national growth. His selfless service to the nation and his doggedness and exemplary leadership are worthy of celebrating at a time like this”, the Governor emphasised.
“At 69, Asiwaju as he advances in age, requires our prayers for God’s endless Grace and Favour. We must thank God for his life and pray that the Almighty God will grant him sound health, longer life and more wisdom to serve his country and humanity”, Akeredolu added.
Also, the ruling All Progressives Congress APC has extolled Tinubu’s virtues, describing him as a “developmental democrat” and an advocate of due process.
APC in a birthday tribute to Tinubu on Sunday in Abuja signed by the National Chairman of its Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee CECPC and Governor of Yobe state, Hon. Mai Mala Buni said the former Lagos governor has dedicated his life to the service of humanity.
The statement reads; “The All Progressives Congress APC, celebrates a man of excellence, a true democrat and a great leader, the Jagaban of Borgu, H.E. (Sen.) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his 69th birthday anniversary.
