Abia warriors ‘ll fight for honours next season —Inyama

Chairman of Abia Warriors Emeka Inyama has said the Club will challenge for honours next season.
He made this known in one of the Uyo State radio stations 94.5 FM.
The experienced and seasoned football administrator who recently engaged the services of coach Imama Amapakabo with the structure in place Abia Warriors are good to go next season.
“Imama is a big coach, he has pedigree, he has won the league with Rangers, he has cut his teeth with other clubs like Sharks and Enyimba, he has also worked with the National team, coach of U-23, Assistant Coach to Gernot Rohr, so he has something to offer.
We need to drive the club this time around our ambition this time is to contest for honours and go for the big picture”.
Since Emeka Inyama came on board as Abia Warriors Chairman, the Former Abia State Commissioner for Sports since gaining promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has rebranded Abia Warriors and made them force in Nigeria Football.
Meanwhile, the Former Nigeria Football Federation Board member whose club have produced players to other clubs in Nigeria hinted that the club will continue to maintain it’s philosophy which is center around the youth.
“We believe in the youth, Football is about the youth and we want to also sell players while they are young.
We are very foundational we take them from Academy to team B, from Team B to the main team and that has paid off over the years because of the products we have produced many who have gone to play in other clubs in Nigeria.”
It will be recalled that Chief Inyama held a video conference meeting with the Management, Backroom Staff and Players of the club on Saturday to check on the players’s welfare and state of health advising them to stay safe and adhere to the health regulations given by the NCDC.
