General Manager, Ondo State Waste Management Authority, Rev (Mrs) Ayo Adeyemo has commended Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his effective sanitation delivery in the state.
This according to her facilitated the gesture by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to give the state waste management equipment including Three waste trucks and 16 skip dustbins.
She gave the commendation while speaking with The Hope shortly after the commissioning of the items by the governor in Akure last Thursday.
She explained that Aketi’s robust relationship with the commission facilitated the laudable gift, stating that the waste trucks and the skip bins would go a long way in listing the state as the cleanest in Nigeria,
Speaking further she assured of the authority’s commitment in doubling their efforts in making the state the cynosure of all eyes in the country.
However, she charged residents of the state to embrace cleanliness by ensuring proper waste disposal adding that they should shun indiscriminate dumping of waste saying ” use the appropriate dust bin for your ease as the newly given trucks and others are on ground to evacuate the waste as and when due.
Receiving the donated items, the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, appreciated NDDC for its kind gesture noting that the items came at the most appropriate time of the year when the raining season is being expected.
