Akeredolu assures youths on biz ideas for self reliance

Ondo State Government has again, reiterated its commitment to creating more business opportunities for the youth to further harness their potential for self reliance.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu made the remark at the state youth empowerment, employment and integration stakeholders engagement held at the DOME in Akure.
The Hope reports that the state youth empowerment programme in partnership with German corporation (GIZ) was a platform for youths to engage with major stakeholders to chart a way forward on creating employment opportunities through skills acquisition and entrepreneurship.
According to Governor Akeredolu, “This administration would continue to initiate youth friendly programs to sharpen their potentials for future engagements.”
Akeredolu who was represented by his Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship, Sumi Smart Francis, said the initiative would facilitate advocacy for the youth on the need to harness their potentials to be self reliant.
Earlier, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Akeredolu on youth empowerment, Mr Lincoln Ojo lauded Governor Akeredolu for his passion in developing young talents.
He stressed that the goal of the programme was for Ondo state youths to reach their full potential and be a solution to society’s problems.
A participant, Adeola Ojuope described the programme as a welcome development that would encourage youth involve in business.
“They would tap into the opportunities provided for self development and partnership.”
