Akeredolu best performing Gov in Southern region – Group

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has been described as the most performing governor in the southern region and Nigeria at large.
The team leader of the National Ex-officio of all Universities, Mr. David Aladesanmi who led some of his members made the assertion while on a visit to the governor in his office in Akure.
Aladesanmi appreciated Governor Akeredolu towards his benevolence and immediate response towards a critical accidents involving Ondo State origin student union leaders who were on their way for a security summit at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, OSUSTECH.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu was represented by his Chief of Staff, Chief Olugbenga Ale.
While narrating their ordeals, Aladesanmi said on of July 28, he and some student union leaders were on their way for security summit at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, OSUSTECH when they had a terrible accident.
He appreciated God for spearing their lives and the Governor for his quick response at ensuring they were all treated in the hospital.
“We appreciate Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in the time of our needs, he came to our aids and supported us not only financially but morally, calling us through his able, Chief of Staff, Chief Olugbenga Ale. We appreciate that and indeed we are grateful”
Responding, the governor, speaking through Chief Olugbenga Ale appreciated God for preserving the student and saving them from the fatal accident.
He said immediately he relayed the incident to the governor, he ordered that their hospital bills be taken care off.
“Thank God for taking charge of the situation, having heard about the incident, I spoke with Mr. Governor that some of our students were involved in an accident, the governor was moved with concern and pity and said their bills should be paid, which we did”.
“It is good that you have this spirit of appreciation, reason you are hear today to say thank you to Mr. Governor and we thank God you are all living today”, he said.
He urged them not to loose focus of their primary aim of being in school which was to have a degree, emphasizing that student unionism was to train them for leadership in future.
“Student Unionism is good, Aluta is good but your primary purpose is to acquire knowledge, your degree, so please concentrate on your studies.”
