Akeredolu harps on inter-agency security collaborations

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has called for effective synergy within security operatives in the country for the purpose of securing the nation.
Governor Akeredolu who spoke yesterday while playing host to the Commander of Quick Response Group 209 of the Nigerian Air Force Ipetu-Ijesa in Osun State said operational collaborations between the nation’s security agencies have become imperative in view of the security challenges confronting the nation.
While specifically charging the Air Force to make its presence more felt within the state and around strategic facilities like the Akure Airport, Governor Akeredolu assured that his administration would continue to support inter-agency security operations for sustainable peace across the State.
Earlier, the Commander 209 Quick Response Group , Group Captain Idowu Ayo explained that the dreams of the founding fathers of the base was being achieved in view of the security exploits of the force along the Ilesha-Akure axis.
He promised to continue to work assiduously to ensure lives and property are secured across the mandate coverage areas of the NAF unit which include Ondo, Osun and Ekiti States.
He equally appreciated the gesture of the State Government at providing the needed logistics for the Air Force in its determination to provide the required operational security cover for the Akure Airport.
Group Captain Ayo was the Deputy Director Regiment at the Headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force before his positing to the 209 Quick Response Group Ipetu Ijesa.
