Boxing championship: Ondo ‘ll perform better- Osifo

Ondo State boxing will perform better than ever before at the forthcoming National Men and Women open boxing Championship assistant coach state boxing, Moses Osifo has assured.
Osifo said the state has been taking the lead in the boxing saying the championships holding at the Ahmadu Bello Gymnastics hall, Kaduna State would not be an exception.
He said the state’s boxing has been winning for the state since 1979 .
He said the boxers are working very hard for the championships they are ever ready to roar. We have presented our request before the government through the council’s management and we are more than sure they will do their best to ensure we are succeed.
According to him, “the championship is a big trial in the country , it’s a common Wealth trial we will be there and I’m optimistic with the support of government we will do better.
“Despite the fact that we are doing well , we never relented in our efforts to discover new talents, we are everywhere, we are in schools to unearth budding talents abound in the state.”
He said: “It’s a tradition in Ondo state to discover boxers from grassroots and taking them to stardom, I started my career from the bottom to the top so many others in the state.
“The people of the state should expect good performance from our boxers , we have been doing them proud and we will continue in that direction,”he said.
