DAWN commission redoubles efforts to ease business

Development Agenda for western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission has intensify efforts in engaging southwestern states to ease doing business.

An Analyst and economic expert in the agency Mr Gbenga Wahab made this known at a one day inter-agency policy review meeting on the ease of doing business in south west region Nigeria held in Akure Ondo state capital.

The meeting was organised by Ondo state ministry of Regional Integration and Special Duties in collaboration with DAWN commission, department for international development (DFID) and partnership to engage reform and learn (PERL).

Wahab said ease of doing business has been a journey and still on the journey because reform is not an abstract and isolation saying it takes time for people to see the impact.

He said the agency have been able to engage the state and government agency to work together to create an enabling environment for business owners to strive.

He added that the agency has provided technical support, the support is to see some of the processes of these agencies and train them on process mapping on some of their activities.

He called on the ministries to take note of all the reforms that has been itemized at the meeting to ensure smooth running of businesses in the region.
