I’m committed to PDP- Alarapon

A House of Representatives aspirant for Akure South/North Federal constituency in Ondo state, Mr Adebayo Alarapon, has committed to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) even after losing the party’s ticket in the recently conducted primary.
Alarapon, a former Chairman of Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, alongside other aspirants, lost to the ex-Chairman of the same council, Mr Adedayo Omolafe, during the PDP primary.
He explained that none of the aspirants was aggrieved after the primary, saying that they will all work for the success and victory of the party’s candidate in the 2019 general elections.
Alarapon, noted that he was fully committed to the ideals of the PDP and nothing will make him leave the party.
He said he has accepted his defeat in good faith and in the spirit of sportsmanship.
“In any contest. Others somebody will win and declared his lose. You cannot expect everybody to win, and so if you lose, as a party man, you should support the winner in the interest of the party and the generality of the people.
“As a matter of fact, I congratulated the winner after the primary, and the following day he came to my house and we discussed. Ever since then we have been meeting and I’m ready to work with him. We are one, we have no problem at all.
“The primary election has come and gone and I’m not aggrieved in anyway. We are moving forward now and all of us including my brother who won the ticket are working together to ensure the victory of our great party”, he emphasised.
Alarapon asserted that the development and progress of Akure is what is important to him, promising to continue to protect the interest of the kingdom at every opportunity.
He equally added that the state chapter of the party will collectively work for the victory of the presidential candidate of the PDP in the coming elections, boasting that victory is sure for the party.
