LG congress not do-or-die — Ondo APC

Members of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo state have been admonished to support their leaders during the coming Local Government congress scheduled for Saturday.
The State Director of Media and Publicity of the party, Mr Steve Otaloro gave the admonition during an interview with The Hope, saying that the congress should not be a do-or-die affairs but a family get together
Otaloro while saying that the party is well prepared for the congress said they will also record success like the one they had during the ward Congress.
He disclosed that electoral body will arrive the state by Friday, members should allow the body to do its job, while saying that whatever they arrived at the stakeholders meeting should stand.
Otaloro enthused that the electoral body will meet the party when they arrive the state for the Congress.
Also in an interview, the Party Publicity Secretary, Mr Alex Kalejaiye emphasized that the party is getting ready for the congress.
“The congress is a process and not an event, we have started to prepare and we had a stakeholders meeting which was attended by all leaders in the party, political gladiators of our party, former governorship aspirants and many others who are important members of our party, it is a build up to the congress.
“We have taken a decision by the way of consensus and the leaders have expressed their delight over the way the party is being run and they also assured to replicate the stakeholders meeting at the local level before the congress,” he said.
He assured that the consensus arrangement would bring about unity in the party.
According to him: “as a party, conducting election and making our people to start spending money to campaign will stress them, we believe consensus is the best way.”
He called on party members to support their leaders to work things out and build the party to an enviable height.
“We are building a party that is more or less a family, so if it is by consensus and anybody emerge, they should realise that they did not contest an election, therefore they should have regards for the party.
