My Choice Group again empowers over 200 women

Over  200 widows and elderly women  were at the weekend empowered with cash, food and gift items by the the founder of My Choice Group, Princess Omowumi-Olatunji Ohwovoriole
 in remembrance of her late mother, Mrs. Mosunmola Adeniyan Eddo.

This is coming barely few months after 200 women benefited from a similar gesture as part of efforts to help grow their businesses and also cushion the economic impact of COVID-19 on the aged.

Speaking at the event held at My Choice Group Headquarters in Akure, Princess Ohwovoriole, an APC Chieftain said she was very happy to witness the 17th anniversary of Mosunmola Adeniyan Eddo Foundation, noting that her passion has always been to enrich lives , while through the foundation she has been able to impact lives even though she is not wealthy.

Informing that giving to people and impacting lives is something she has been doing since she was young which she believed has a way of making one’s life better. She urged the people to be happy with their life and praise God in whatever situation they find themselves.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs, Gombe State, Mrs. Naomi Joel who witnessed the event  applauded  Princess Ohwovoriole’s initiative just as she pledged her support.

She also called on other well meaning Nigerians to take a cue from  the founder of the group and key into the initiative so that more lives can be impacted through the gesture.

In his own remarks, Mr Tobi Ogunleye ,who is a  former Senior Special Adviser to the State Governor on Transport described Princess Ohwovoriole as a pillar of strength to the  State APC, just as he commended her for leaving a lasting legacy in honour of her late mother.

Also speaking at the event, Princess Dupe Adetuwo while praying to God to grant Princess Ohwovoriole more grace to do more, she  described her as a helper who has over the years been putting smiles on the faces of so many people.

Another APC stalwart in attendance, Mr Saka Yusuf while also appreciating Princess Ohwovoriole for honoring her mother, applauded her for her resolution to help widows and the aged ,saying it is a worthy cause.

In his goodwill message, Engr. Otetunbi while thanking Princess Ohwovoriole for being a channel of blessing to many hopeless homes, congratulated members of My choice Group for standing by their leader, Princess Ohwovoriole and for helping to translate her dream into reality.

The climax of the event however was the distribution of N5,000 cash gifts and palliative packs to more than 200 women in attendance.

The event also featured a raffle draw for women and as well as presentation of gifts to patriotic Nigerians who recited the National Anthem and pledge.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke during the event thanked Princess Ohwovoriole for deeming it fit to yearly organise the programme to put smiles on their faces.
