NWFL team of the week: Falegan dedicates feat to teammates, fans

Sunshine Queens player, Joy Falegan has appreciated her teammates, officials and the management of the team for their support and motivation which assisted her to make the Nigeria Women Football League NWFL players of the week for the second time.

She said: “I dedicate my inclusions into the league team of the week to my teammates, coaches management and our fans across the globe.”

Falegan had earlier included in the players of the week in the matchday two of the 2023/24 NWFL, before winning same for the second time in the matchday 13.

While Ajibade Taiwo made players of the week in the matchday 10 of the league which saw two Sunshine Queens players included in the team of the week three times.

Falegan in a chat with newsmen, thanked God and her teammates for the feat , saying she could not have done it alone without other players and instructions from her coaches.

She added that she was not playing for individual glory, saying her target was to see Sunshine Queens ended the league on a good position in the log.

Sunshine Queens will this morning, hit the road to honour their last match of the season against Remo Stars Ladies on Wednesday at the Remo Stars stadium, Ikene,Ogun State.

The Ondo State based team are currently 7th on the log with 13 points trailing by Ekiti Queens who sit on the bottom with 11 points.
