Olufon buries mother in style

It was a gathering of who is who in the society at the weekend at Ifon, headquarters of Ose Local Government Areas of Ondo State, when the royal father of the town, Oba Israel Adegoke Adeusi buried his late mother, Mrs Abigail Fehintola Adeusi in grandstyle.
Abigail Adeusi was interred after a well attended funeral service held at First Baptist Church, Ifon
Dignitaries at the elaborate funeral service included; Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora, Yeyemofin Fola Olasehinde-Vincent, traditional rulers, clerics led by the Ondo State Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Revd John Ayo Oladapo.
Others are member representing Ose State constituency at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Mr Oluyede Olushola Feyide, Rear Admiral William Ademoluti rtd, Dr Adewale Ajayi, Prince Olatayo Aribo, Sector Commander FRSC,Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Adeleye among others
Delivering a sermon at the funeral service, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Ondo State chapter, Rev’d John Ayo Oladapo, who spoke on the topic”Death as an avenue of rest” described death as inevitable.”
Rev’d Oladapo assured that anybody who die in Christ will rest in heaven as he charged the congregation to make heaven their goal saying everybody will die one after the other, while he asked rhetorically, “what will be said of you after your demise?”
The Cleric who said the deceased lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation from all the testimonies by all that had contact with her including men of God, charged Christians to be conscious of where they are going not where they are coming from
He said the deceased was among the first worshippers at the First Baptist Church Ifon, remarking that the children of the deceased has all the good attributes of their late mother
In his tribute, Olufon of Ifon, Oba Israel Adegoke Adeusi, described his late mother as a first class humble person, who never paraded herself as Yeye Oba but taught him and other siblings the way of God
He said the vacuum created by her death would be difficult to fill by anyone else but that he was happy that he came to this world through her.
To the best of my knowledge, you never fought nor quarreled with anyone. Little did people know that you were the pillar behind most of my achievements as the Olufon of Ifon.
You kept reminding me that kingship is a life of sacrifice and selfless service. Your counselling and encouragement kept me going
“You taught me to always rely solely on God in all that I do . This is the most important legacy you bequeathed me and my other siblings”
Late madam Abigail Oluwasola Fehintola Adeusi, who died on January, 18, 2020 at 84 is survived by many children and grandchildren, including the Olufon of Ifon, Oba Israel Adegoke Adeusi and many others.
