Ondo ADC tasks voters not to sell their votes

The Ondo State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Bisi Ogungbemi, has cautioned voters particularly youths to shun moneybag politicians not to be allowed to buy their rights through the vote-buying on the day of elections.

He noted that their votes are their rights and should not be sold to politicians on the days of elections for them not to regret it in the future.

The chairman gave the warning while presenting the notification of interest and requirement form to an aspirant under the platform of the party aspiring to represent Okitipupa-lrele Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Mr. Temitope Kolawole.

Ogungbemi, who noted that this is the high time to participate actively in politics urged them to have one accord to make their vision realisable.

He,however, noted that the era of using money to lure people by politicians has put the country into problem and advised youths to use their generation to build better Nigeria.

According to him,” ADC is a party that put youths into consideration with the 30percent contesting political offices each for youths and women”

Ogungbemi further charged youths in the party to practise politics with dignity and engage in aggressive mobilization to win their units for the victory of the party in the next year generation elections.

Earlier, the aspirant aspiring to represent Okitipupa-Irele Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Mr. Temitope Kolawole, said his experience as a member of the United Nation -Non Governmental Organisation  ( UN-NGO) in United Kingdom has spurred him to contest as youths to impact meaningfully on the lives of people.

As a trained developmental Economist and renowned social worker of United Nation-Sustainable Development Goal, Kolawole explained that this is the high time for youths to take part in politics with new idea and ideology different from the old political thinking of politicians in the country.

The impact of the government in his constituency, he noted has not been effectively felt by the people of the constituency, assuring to take relative problems in communities as his target before the House.

He, therefore, explained that the solution based approach politics should be the bone of contention to serve people and move the country forward
