Ondo FA suspends all football activities

In compliance with the recent directive from the Nigeria Football Federation Ondo State Association has suspended all forms of football activities for the next four weeks, owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

Acting Chairman of the Ondo State Football Association, Pastor Henry Akingboju mandated all football activities in the state to be suspended with immediate effect for the next four weeks.

“We have to act immediately according to the directives given by the apex football governing body by suspending all football activities for the next four weeks which is due to the global pandemic”

He advised all chairmen of football council across the eighteen local government areas of the state and relevant stakeholders to adhere strictly to the various safety precautions and conducts as advised by the Federal Ministry of Health and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, such as hand – washing, the use of sanitizers.

“I equally want to use this medium to advise all the local football council chairman across the state to ensure they adhere strictly to the preventive instructions by the ministry health on the deadly virus”

It would be recalled  that the NFF bigwigs took the decision to suspend all football activities after a meeting to the deliberate on the spread of the corona virus.
