Ondo women pledge support for Buhari’s re-election

Market women in Ondo State have declared their total support for the re-election of President Mohammadu Buhari to enable him continue in his quest to fight against corruption and transform the country.

They spoke through the newly elected Iyaloja of the State, Chief (Mrs) Adefemiwa Iwalola who led other leaders on a courtesy visit to the state Governor in his office in Akure.

Chief Iwalola described the performance of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, since inception as impressively heartwarming.

She mentioned some of the Governor’s achievements to include regular payment of workers’ salaries, construction of roads, renovation of dilapidated schools and construction of new ones coupled with perimeter fencing and provision of solar powered boreholes and electricity to the Schools.

She also commended the Akeredolu-led administration on its efforts at industrialising the state through the signing of Memorandum of Understandings (MoU), which she said would rescue the state from being a civil service state.

The Iyaloja–elect who was accompanied on the visit by some of her executive members used the opportunity to assure of the support of all market women in the state.

The Iyaloja-elect however appealed to the state government for its support to enable her succeed during her tenure.

In his remarks, Governor Akeredolu (SAN), congratulated the Iyaloja –elect and assured of government support during her inauguration coming up in October.

The governor who restated the commitment of his administration to its electoral promises despite financial constraints, expressed optimism that, things will change for the better in the Sunshine State.
