Owena Press Staff holds prayer session for Akeredolu

Staff of Owena Press Limited, publishers of The Hope Newspaper on Friday held a special prayer session for the good health of the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu

The staff held the prayers at the company’s first prayer meeting for the year.

The Chairman of the Owena Press Limited, Sir Ademola Adetula expressed the company’s appreciation to Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu led administration on its commitment to the welfare of the members of staff of the organization in the outgone year and requested that special prayers be organised for him

Adetula noted that Owena Press has experienced tremendous progress under Akeredolu’s administration especially in the areas of prompt payment of workers’ salaries and payment of gratuities of retired members of staff.

“I want to take out this time to sincerely appreciate our talk and do governor for his commitment towards Owena Press Limited, we have never experienced this level of cordial relationship in the history of this establishment.

“Most importantly, I appreciate the governor for the prompt payment of salaries of members of staff and particularly, the approval and payment of gratuity of retired staff.”

The chairman took out time to organize a special prayer for the governor and the state as a whole.

While appreciating the staff for their contributions to the progress of the company in yester years, Adetula admonished them to go extra mile in the new year and do everything possible to advance the course of the organisation.

“I have told you on several occasions that a new dawn has come for Owena Press because we saw it coming and this is what we are already experiencing.

Earlier in his sermon, the officiating minister, Mr Akindele Adubuola who also doubles as the editor of The Hope spoke on the topic “Reason to thank God.” 

He charged members of staff to forget the ordeals of the previous year and praise God for the gift of another year.

Adubuola who took his text from Acts 16:25, 26 noted that Paul and Silas have every reasons not to thank God as a result of the condition they found themselves, nevertheless, they still praised God defiling all odds.

“The new year has come eventually and it is high time we looked away from the all our previous challenges, we should cultivate the attitude of gratitude and see reasons to appreciate God regardless of any circumstance we find ourselves.”

He called on staff to desist from habits of holding grudges or pulling others down in any form noting that a clear conscience is a natural repellant against attacks.
