Stella, who narrated the incident to newsmen, accused her husband, Wasiu Jimoh Mamukuyomi of complicity in the missing baby.
Stella said, “My husband brought Adeniyi three weeks ago in December, 2020 to learn tailoring. He said the girl didn’t have interest in learning hair dressing where she was before.”
“She (Temitope Adeniyi) has been relating well with me and my husband, but unknown to me she was my husband’s girlfriend.
“On the fateful day, January 2, 2021, she asked someone to send N3,000 to her through my bank account , which I obliged as she claimed she has no bank account.
“Later, when I saw the alert, I gave her my ATM card with my Pin for her to cash the money. Then, she strapped my baby, Gold, at her back and went to a nearby bank ATM.
“To my greatest surprise, she didn’t return, I had to raise alarm and we started searching for her and my baby allover Ondo city. Temitope was no where to be found with my baby that day.
“She left her phone with me. But unknown to me, she had removed the SIM cards inside it and left the phone empty with me, so that I would not be able to trace her.”
It was further gathered that Mamukuyomi was immediately contacted on telephone about the incident, but only showed up after two hours.
An eyewitness said, “The husband, Mamukuyomi, was arrested and handed over to the police for further investigations.”
Mamukuyomi, was said to have allegedly confessed to the police that he was actually dating Adeniyi, but that he never sent her to kidnap his baby.
