Police in Akoko are now on the trail of the killer of a 23-year-old Computer repairer, Felix Olowookere.

Felix was allegedly killed by one of his customers who The Hope learnt was owing him N3,500.00.

According to a source, the tragic incident happened  on Sunday at Otakoba area of Ibaka quarters in the university town of Akungba Akoko when the 23-year-old man  was allegedly killed by his assailant whom our reporter learnt is a suspected cultist.

A source who confided in The Hope said the tragic incident happened  while Felix’s father,   Mr Olowookere, was away to the church for the wedding thanksgiving service of the sister of the deceased which took place earlier on Saturday.

According to Mr Olowookere who hails from Supare Akoko, but lives in Akungba, the incident happened while he was in the church.

Mr Olowookere disclosed that his son, Felix was a computer repairer who learnt  Computer repairs and  ICT when he was looking for admission and has since been repairing laptops and computer systems for students and others.

He disclosed that it was one of his customers who owed him (the deceased) N3,500 that perpetrated the dastardly act.

According to him, the demand by his son to be paid what is being owed him led to his being stabbed with a broken bottle and he died instantly.

Mr Olowokere said eye witnesses told him that the assailant who brought other accomplices used axes, cutlasses and broken bottle during the scuffle that eventually led to his son’s death.

Meanwhile, this led to spontaneous protest by the youths of Akungba Akoko who were demanding for justice over the untimely death of Felix by the suspected cultists.

Speaking on the issue, the Commander of Akoko Area Police Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Razak Rauf said those involved in the killing are now at large and the police are trailing them for arrest.

Meanwhile, the corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue of the Ondo State Specialist Hospital, Ikare Akoko.
