Register your building plans, ODSG tasks developers

Ondo State Government has charged all developers in the State to ensure compliance with the laid-down guidelines of building development by registering plans with the ministry and obtain government approval as appropriate.
The Permanent Secretary,Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Bayo Philip gave the charge while monitoring compliance with physical planning laws and regulations in Akure.
The PS reiterated that the Ministry will not leave any stone unturned in ensuring compliance with approved town planning guidelines.
He re-emphasized that Akeredolus administration in line with its developmental agenda, codenamed, “Redeemed” is resolute in enhancing the landscape of towns and cities in the State, making it easthetically pleasing, orderly, resilient, safe and healthy.
In the course of the monitoring exercise, some illegal shops and other contraventions were demolished along Oyemekun, Arakale , Ado road and NEPA axis while the team also carried out post-approval verification of some buildings under construction.
In a statement by the Media Manager of the Ministry, Mrs Adebimpe Amos, the ministry, in its stakeholders engagement drive interfaced with the representatives of the Hausa Community at the Abattoir, Sango area along Ado Road had directed the removal of illegal kiosks and shanties in the area.
