The entrepreneurship education is for both existing and an intending entrepreneur to further enhance them to know how to generate more money by founding and operating a venture, innovations, get additional income, gaining actualization in self-employment and more so, to learn entrepreneurial skills.

Innovations pave ways for many to make a living in order to take care of their circumstance or immediate needs. Education is aimed at improving self-confidence and giving chances at becoming self-reliant and for an individual not to be totally dependent on formal employment.   It also builds up self-awareness, provides a dynamic platform on which an individual can explore his/her strengths through practical application and not only theoretical knowledge gained from basic education.

Innovation is regarded as the primary function of entrepreneurship and its processes, because major ingredients of entrepreneurial breakthrough include new product development, a new technology, new location, and a new market.   Innovation involves the conversion of knowledge and ideas into benefits, hence it is a tool employed by entrepreneurs. Innovation as a combination of the intention to develop a good idea, the determination and commitment to remain with the concept until implementation stage.

Innovation is evident in the introduction of new products in the firm and to the relevant market.  Though innovation is different from invention, invention enhances the stock of knowledge, but it does not immediately arrive in the market place as a finished product or process. Therefore, based on exposure to entrepreneurship education the study of Bar ringer and Ireland (2006) suggest that students can engage in innovative activities arising from the applications of both existing and new knowledge. This is very important and relevant to entrepreneurship education in the University context because as described by Bosman and Harding (2007) innovation is an intention based process that can be expressed by students and are able to recognize opportunities.

In the context of entrepreneurship education, opportunity identification can be regarded as an entrepreneurial activity that can take place while undergraduates are still in school. This was supported by Klein (2008) whose study suggests that undergraduates at all levels can identify business opportunities before and after graduation. Therefore, opportunity identification by University students is a desired behavioural outcome because it emanates from a nexus of intentions and actions of students and the successful creation of value by them.

Home insecticide/cosmetics and organic products are really in vogue and cheaper to acquire and establish.  For anyone who may be thinking that this type of lucrative skill is solely for multinational companies, you are far from the truth. These products are everywhere for home chores, body and skin cares etc…some branch off into selling of the chemicals and the containers that serves as moulds.   What are you waiting for? Try your hands on something and you will be glad you did.
