Sunshine Stars football club have begun the second stanza of the Nigeria Professional Football League with 1- 0 victory against Plateau United.

The matchday 20 of the league contest decided at the Dipo Dina International Stadium Ijebu Ode saw substituted Kolade Adeniji put the hosts ahead in the 78minute after heading home from a corner kick .

Sunshine Stars goalkeeper, Mustapha Lawal was in right position to deny Plateau United what could have earned them a point in the added time.

The Akure based side have all the points after ending the Plateau United 11 matches unbeaten run.
