Three arraigned over Kidnapping of minors for rituals

Three men have been dragged before an Akure Chief Magistrate Court for kidnapping three minors for money ritual.
The police arraigned Loto Temitayo 34, Olabode Omoboye 54, and Ogunbamila Erioluwa 52, on three count-charge of conspiracy, abduction and deprivation of liberty, misdemeanors and others.
The accused persons were said to have committed the offences on December 13, 2020, between Akute and Bright & Light Hotel, Igodan Lisa Ondo.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty of the offences leveled against them.
According to the Prosecutors, Inspector Adeoye Adesegun and the police legal counsel, Mr. Adetunji Kazeem ESQ, the accused persons conspired together with others to abduct Obaro Feyisayo, Miracle Idris and Alofe Lawrence with the intent of having canal knowledge of them and use them for money ritual.
He added that when the accused persons were arrested, the three victims were found with them and were later handed over to the police.
The offences were said contravened sections 365, 516 and 517 of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol 1 Laws of Ondo State Nigeria, 2006.
Counsel to the accused persons, Mr. N. R Aribisala ESQ, prayed the court to grant his clients bail in most liberal terms, saying the accused persons were still presumed innocent until found guilty of the offences.
The Magistrate, Mr. Olanipekun Mayomi, granted the accused persons bail in the sum of N100,000 and one surety in the like sum.
He adjourned the case till February 2, 2021
