Three die, eight injure in Akure/ Osogbo accident

Two persons were confirmed dead while four others, Okada man, teanager and a couple, were severely injured in an accident involving a Kia Sportage car at Sammy Store area, along Arakale road, Akure.
Another person was also killed while four others sustained injury in a lone accident at Osogbo.
The Hope Metro gathered that the car rammed into a parked Toyota hummer bomber bus and one okada riding by one side of the road and somersaulted severally.
It was learnt that one of the victims, the hummer him repair the bus and a woman selling alcohol drinks before the accident happened.
According to the eyewitness, the driver and the passenger of the car, were suspected to be Yahoo boys, disappeared immediately the incident happened.
The mechanic was said to have completed the repairs of the bus and was parking his tools when he was hit by the vehicle and died immediately.
The mechanic and the woman were confirmed dead while the other four, the Okada man, losses his spinal cord, the couple and their kid sustain serious injuries.
Also, a person was confirmed dead while four other passengers of a vehicle were injured in a lone accident involving a Mercedes-Benz, along Osogbo-Ikirun road, Osogbo.
Hope Metro gathered that the car somersaulted severally before residents got to the scene.
It was learnt that the victims were heading to a birthday party at Ogo-Oluwa when the accident happened.
The unfortunate incident, which occurred at about 1:45 pm on Saturday, involved a black Mercedes-Benz with the registration number KRD 809 GK.
A male in the car was confirmed dead while the other four occupants of the car, two males, two females were injured.
Osun Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kudirat Ibrahim, confirmed the fatal accident.
According to her, it was speculated that the accident might probably be caused by over speeding.
She said, “The fatal accident occurred at about 1:45 pm, as the Mercedes-Benz painted in black colour with registration number KRD 809 GK along Ikirun-Osogbo road crashed.
“The accident involved three male and two female,” Kudirat said.
She added that “other victims were taken to Lauren Hospital while the corpse was deposited at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, mortuary.”
