The monarch, who spoke while receiving Governor Akeredolu and his entourage in his Palace, expressed the readiness of the people of Akoko land to massively vote him for another term.
Governor Akeredolu/Aiyedatiwa campaign train was in Ikare-Akoko for the Northern Senatorial campaign rally.
The Governor had earlier paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Owa-Ale of Ikare Akoko, Oba Kolapo Adegbite Adedoyin, saying he would not forget in a hurry the positive roles played by the late monarch to his political career.
Oba Momoh specifically applauded Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the dualization of the notorious Oke-Alabojuto in Ikare-Akoko and many other projects which he said have made lives more comfortable to the people of town and its environs.

“Mr. Governor, I want to assure you that we will stay with you; we will vote for you en masse for another term because you have done marvelously well in Ikare-Akoko”, the monarch stressed.
Oba Momoh recalled that the past administration promised to help reconstruct the notorious Oke-Alabojuto and other damaged roads in the town but failed to fulfill such a promise in the long run.
He expressed the gratitude of the people of the land to the Governor and promised their readiness to reciprocate the gesture by re-electing him for a second term.
In his remarks, the APC candidate and Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, thanked the royal father for appreciating the numerous achievements of his government not only in Ikare-Akoko but the entire Akoko land.
The governor also said before his administration came on board, three bridges in the area had collapsed which his government had reconstructed.
He described Ikare-Akoko as a commercial centre of the state, saying that his administration would ensure it remains the lost glory, and as well accord it its deserved status as one of the major towns in the state.
Governor Akeredolu said many developmental projects including road construction, school renovation with necessary facilities, among others have been successfully executed across the three senatorial districts of the state since his administration came on board less than four years ago.
The governor who added that the coming election is about the consolidation and continuity of good governance in the state, equally promised that if re-elected many more developmental projects would be carried out to further transform the state.
