An Akure upcoming artiste, Abiodun Olofintuyi, aka Eccliq, has said that composing love songs come effortlessly to him.

Speaking about his latest single titled, Love is Everything, he told Friday Extravaganza, “The song was inspired by what many girls want in relationship these days. They want to be taken to exotic places such as Dubai and Maldives. No one wants a stagnant relationship these days. It has to be mobile. So, I decided to make a song promising about that lifestyle.

“Music is a thing of the heart and in most cases, I try to sing from my heart. It just happens that love songs are what come to my heart most times.

However, that doesn’t mean I can’t do other type of songs. Also, I listened to foreign love songs a lot while growing up, so I feel that also contributed to how comfortable I am with love songs. As an artiste, people have to know you for something and making love songs is my area of specialisation.”

Speaking on the challenges is facing, Eccliq said, “there are lots of challenges, especially when it comes to promoting one’s music, which is quite expensive. However, the distribution company I work with, is really doing a good job in that area.”

The singer also noted that he would like to see an industry with a level playing ground for everyone.

He said, “I would like to see a music industry where everyone has a level playing field in terms of music promotion, regardless of one’s status. I would also like to see a music industry where good songs are appreciated, irrespective of the level of the artiste who sang them.”

On what keeps him going,” he said, what kept me going is God, the dreams and revenge to those who looked down on me.
