The people of Ondo State have  been assured of maximum security during the yuletide celebration and beyond.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Femi Joseph gave this assurance  during an interview with The Hope Metro, in Akure , the State Capital .

He said , “We are quite aware of the robbery incident in neighbouring states, most especially Ekiti State of recent.

“While we sympathise with the people of Ekiti, we admonish our people here not to tremble about the issue.

“:I want to let you know that we are not sleeping nor resting on our strategies to ensure that no incident of such will  happen here in Ondo State.

“We have our modules which  we may not want to disclose for security reasons. But what we can assure the people is that nothing of such happens here.

“We consequently want to inform our people to always be there for us  by way of giving information on anything abnormal or strange movement. It could be along the road or strange places like the farms.

Joseph advised that individuals should ensure to reach out to the nearest police station or place a call.

“We will ensure that Ondo state is safe for everyone of us. We have done a lot of homework. And we  want our  people not to panic or exercise any element of fear this yuletide season, because we are on top of our game,” he said.
