14 Araromi Obu/Ikale crisis suspects for arraignment in court today

The fourteen suspects arrested by the police in connection with the Araromi Obu/Ikale crisis, will be arraigned today, before the Akure Chief Magistrates’ Court.
Yesterday, the suspects were brought before the court to answer charges on offences which range from alleged murder to arson, but their arraignment was stalled.
Meanwhile, the court magistrate, Mr Mayomi Olanipekun, ordered that the fourteen defendants should be kept in police custody pending their arraignment today, July 24, 2019.
When the case was called on Tuesday, the suspects were brought before the court. But their arraignment suffered setback due to some circumstances, while their charges were not read to them.
The suspects to be arraigned today are; Omosebi Ikupokuyi, 89, Omosebi Igbekele, 45, Omosebi Olorunwa ,29, Abiodun Akindola,52, Omotayo Abiodun ,32, Babatunde Ifafo ,62, and Adeyelu Olusola 37.
Others are; Sola Akinrimusayo,18, Oluwole Fadoju, 30, Johnson Akindolire , 48, Friday Oke 18, Neri Adeyemi ,23, Sola Olarewaju, 22 and Macauley Omoloye ,23.
The Hope Metro gathered that the accused persons allegedly killed the following persons; Seun Akinbule and Gbenga Akinpelumi with gun shots and machete cuts respectfully which led to their death.
They were also alleged to have attempted to kill one Akinpelumi Akinboduwa, presently receiving treatment at the Trauma Centre, in Ondo, while they unlawfully set ablaze the houses and property of eleven persons.
The alleged victims were Honourable Fasogbo Akinyele, Albert Adesanya, Akinsete Olabisi, Funmilayo Adesanmi, Adelegan Adesanmi, Akinpelumi Omowaye, Fagbohun Ifedayo, Monebi Kayode, Ogunmoyole Adesanye, Funmilayo Meroyi, and Festus Akinpelumi .
Others victms are; Folusade Akinmadelo , Adeyemi Ademeso, Idowu Akinmolayan, Akinnikinju Alaba, Prince Adeyemi, Akinnikinju, Robert Meroyi, Adesanmi Bosede, Monebi Abraham and Akinnikinju Adetayo. Their property was valued at N1, 000, 000,000.
They were said to have allegedly committed the offences on July 16, 2019 at about 2:30pm at Agoalaye via Araromi Obu, in the Ondo State Magisterial District, contrary to and punishable under section 324, 516, 319(1) and 320(1) of the criminal Code Cap 37, volume 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.
