Beneficiaries from Igbara-Oke hail governor, Osamaye

Five indigenes of Igbara-Oke, Ifedore Local Government area of Ondo State, have secured permanent employment in the state health sector after spending several years as casual workers.
The beneficiaries, who had worked for between five and almost 15 years without the security and benefits of permanent employment, expressed gratitude to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the opportunity.
They spoke during a thank-you visit to the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr. Seun Bosede Osamaye, at her office.
The beneficiaries described the appointments as a turning point in their lives, saying the development had ended years of uncertainty and restored hope for a stable career in the public service.
The employment exercise, particularly in the health sector, is in line with the Aiyedatiwa administration’s emphasis on human capital development and efforts to strengthen critical public institutions with qualified personnel.
Speaking to the beneficiaries, Osamaye gave glory to God and thanked Governor Aiyedatiwa for providing her with the opportunity to make a positive impact through public service.
She disclosed that more than 20 people from Ifedore Local Government area had benefited from employment opportunities she facilitated across various ministries, agencies and parastatals since her appointment.
According to her, the latest beneficiaries were among people who had served as casual workers for years, making their transition into permanent employment particularly significant.
The commissioner described leadership as an opportunity to influence lives positively and create avenues for others to succeed.
She commended the Akeredolu-led Hospital Management Board team for its sustained efforts in healthcare delivery.
Osamaye specifically appreciated Nurse Aarinola Adamolekun, whom she described as the only female member of the board, other members of the board and the Permanent Secretary of the Primary Health Care Agency, Dr. Francis Akanbiemu, for supporting the governor’s efforts to achieve a better health system for the people.
She urged the beneficiaries to remain committed to their responsibilities and pursue further academic and professional development to enhance their qualifications and improve their prospects.
The commissioner also praised Governor Aiyedatiwa for entrusting her with the responsibility to serve, describing his administration as people-centred and committed to restoring hope, developing human capital and creating opportunities for citizens across the state.
Mrs Wunmi Oguntoye of Igbara-Oke, who recently secured employment as a health assistant, spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries.
The other beneficiaries were Mr Omoniyi, who had worked for over seven years; Mrs Yinusa F, who spent almost 13 years as a casual staff; Mrs Grace Augustine of Igbara-Oke Molete, who served for over five years; and Mrs Agboola Grace Morenikeji of Oyinkolade Family, Igbara-Oke, who worked for almost 15 years as a casual staff.
They recounted their experiences and expressed gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa and Osamaye for what they described as wiping away their tears after years of working without permanent appointments.
The beneficiaries described their employment as evidence of compassionate and impactful leadership, saying the appointments had replaced years of uncertainty with career stability and a renewed opportunity to serve the people of Ondo State.
In a further gesture, Osamaye promised Mrs Augustine Grace a brand-new phone and encouraged the beneficiaries to extend similar acts of kindness to others whenever they had the opportunity.
The beneficiaries pledged to justify the opportunity through dedication, professionalism, integrity and excellence in service.
They also promised to support other people whenever they were presented with similar opportunities.
The development highlights the Aiyedatiwa administration’s focus on human capital development, particularly in the health sector, where the recruitment of additional personnel is expected to complement existing manpower and sustain effective healthcare delivery across Ondo State.
