The Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) has constituted a new technical and support crew for Sunshine Queens FC as part of efforts to strengthen the club ahead of the new Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) season.
The move is in line with the vision of the Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, to reposition the state-owned women’s team and make it more competitive and professionally managed.
Tayo Onilude has been appointed Head Coach, with Chinaza Ihelewere and Sunday Taiwo named Assistant Coach and Assistant Coach II respectively.
Other members of the newly constituted technical and support crew are Funke Okewole, Goalkeeper Coach; Odunayo Olagbaju, Trainer; Bimbo Bailey, Masseur/Kit Manager; and Olakitan Oladele, Camp Commandant.
Amori Biliaminu Olanrewaju has also been appointed Cinematographer.
According to ODSFA, the appointments are part of deliberate efforts by the Aiyedatiwa administration to build a stronger, better organised and more competitive Sunshine Queens capable of meeting the demands of the new NWFL season.
Speaking on the development, ODSFA Chairman, Divine Ogbonnaya, charged the newly appointed crew members to approach their roles as a responsibility to the state rather than merely as appointments.
Ogbonnaya urged them to see their positions as a call to serve Ondo State and contribute to the development and success of the team.
The new appointments take immediate effect.
