Afenifere commends Oyebanji’s investment in food production

The Egbe Afenifere, Ekiti State Chapter has described the direct involvement of Ekiti State Government in food production as a right step in the right direction, saying the initiative will complement efforts at reducing inflation and rising cost of food stuffs.
This was contained in a communique issued at the end of the February edition of its monthly meeting and signed by the Chairman, Elder Yemi Alade, Secretary, Mr. Sunday Omoyemi, and Publicity Secretary, Chief Biodun Akin -Fasae.
According to the Afenifere, Ekiti Chapter, Governor Biodun Oyebanji administration’s direct involvement in food production initiatives has not only demonstrated his commitment to addressing the challenge of food insecurity, but has also shown his proactive approach towards creating a sustainable food security environment in the state.
The Pan Yoruba socio – cultural and political organisation also hailed the governor’s unwavering devotion and commitment to the principle of inclusion which has significantly impacted all citizens across the state, irrespective of gender, creed or physical attributes.
The group acknowledged and appreciated Governor Oyebanji’s efforts at providing a conducive environment for food production while simultaneously focusing on inclusive governance practices that are beneficial to all residents of the state.
It added that the proactive steps being taken by the Ekiti State Governor reflected his genuine concern for the welfare and development of the people of the state.
As a progressive organization, Afenifere Ekiti State Chapter fully supports and stands behind the Governor’s initiatives and encourages all stakeholders and residents to join hands in promoting a more inclusive and prosperous Ekiti State.
The Group also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the steps he has taken to promote good governance and accountability through greater fiscal freedom for the country’s local government areas, as well as the establishment of development commissions in the six geo-political zones of the country.
