Akeredolu eulogises Eric Teniola @70

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has extolled the virtues of a veteran Journalist and accomplished writer, Eric Teniola on his 70th birthday.

 Akeredolu specifically described Teniola’s contribution to knowledge in the country as enormous.

The governor spoke yesterday at the 70th birthday reception party and Book Launch of the erudite Journalist held at the Regency Hall, Otunba Jobi Fele Way, CBD, Ikeja, Lagos.

He added that Ondo state is proud of the landmark contributions of the Idanre born Journalist who has carved a niche for himself in his chosen career.

“A lot can be said about him, and we will continue to honour him. For us in Ondo state, he is a blessing; he is a wonderful human being. He has chosen on his own to tread this honourable path without noise,” the governor stressed.

High point of the event were cutting of birthday cake and launching of a 65 chapters and 463 pages book titled, “On the Spot on Eric Teniola”, which chronicled his life and journalism experience over the decades.

Dignitaries at the event included a former Military Administrator of Ondo State, Admiral Abiodun Olukoya; the state Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Yemi Olowolabi; the publisher of vanguard newspaper, Sam Amuka Pemu; Senator Tunde Ogbeha; General Tajudeen Olarenwaju and the publisher of City People Magazine, Seye Kehinde, among others.
