Former Director of Vehicle Inspection Services (DVIS), Ondo State, Mr. Dennis Adeleye, has commended the state Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on the flag-off of the construction of the Akure Overhead Bridge.
Adeleye described the project as a landmark infrastructure initiative that will significantly improve traffic management, enhance road safety, reduce congestion, and facilitate the smooth movement of people and vehicles within the Akure metropolis.
According to him, the project is more than a physical structure; it is a strategic investment in modern infrastructure and a testament to the administration’s commitment to the sustainable development of Ondo State.
“As a former Director of Vehicle Inspection Services, I can confidently attest that the need for an overhead bridge at this strategic location has been a longstanding concern. For many years, residents, motorists, and other stakeholders have looked forward to a practical solution to the persistent traffic challenges and safety concerns associated with this corridor,” he stated.
Adeleye noted that the commencement of the project reflects Governor Aiyedatiwa’s vision, courage, and determination to address critical infrastructure needs across the state.
“It is particularly gratifying that His Excellency has taken this bold and decisive step to bring this long-awaited project to fruition. History will undoubtedly remember this administration for its foresight, political will, and commitment to delivering projects that positively impact the lives of the people,” he added.
The former DVIS director further commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his unwavering dedication to the development of Ondo State and his resolve to implement projects that will provide lasting benefits for present and future generations.
He expressed confidence that the overhead bridge project would stand as a lasting legacy of progress and development, while contributing significantly to the transformation of Akure and the state at large.
He also prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, strength, and resources for the governor as he continues to deliver impactful and transformative projects across Ondo State.
