Ale, Adelegbe, Badmus congratulate Aiyedatiwa

Former Chief of Staff to late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Chief Olugbenga Ale, a House of Representatives member representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, Dr Timehin Adelegbe, and Ondo State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Rasheed Badmus, have congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for clinching the ticket of the ruling APC to contest the November 16 governorship election in the state.

The trio, in separate statements, also commended President Bola Tinubu, the Governorship Primary Committee headed by Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, the National and the State Working Committees of the party, and other stakeholders for delivering the people’s choice as reflected by the primary election, even as they described the election as peaceful, free and fair.

They described the just concluded APC governorship primary as a contest between brothers within one big family, where all participating aspirants, leaders, and members of the party must now leverage their political strength to build a more unified party and reposition it for even greater victory.

 Ale said, “It is with immense pleasure and admiration that I extend my sincerest congratulations to His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the distinguished Executive Governor of Ondo State, on his resounding victory at the recent APC gubernatorial primary election. This remarkable triumph is a clear testament to the widespread acceptance and trust that the people of our great state have in his exemplary leadership.

“Your unwavering commitment to serving the people of Ondo state and your dedication to the progress and development of the state have not gone unnoticed. Your victory is well-deserved, and I do not doubt that you will continue to lead the state to greater heights.

“The time is now for the flag bearer to reconcile all weary factions and this is the time for the Governor to right the wrongs of yesterday and form a common front for the victory of the November 16 election.

On his part, Ondo State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Rasheed Badmus, described the outcome of the  APC governorship primary as a reflection of the people’s choice, saying this will enable the governor to continue to lead the state to greater heights.

The Commissioner added that Aiyedatiwa’s exemplary leadership style and his total commitment to the all-round development of the Sunshine State earned him the landslide victory at the primary.

Badmus equally urged all other aspirants in the primary to accept the verdict in the spirit of sportsmanship, and rally support for the governor to continue delivering dividends of good governance to the people of Ondo state.

Aiyedatiwa later unveiled his campaign headquarters located along Oba-Adesida Road in Akure.
