Carpenters’ union gets new BOT chair

The Executive Chairman of the Carpenter and Furniture Makers Progressive Union (CFU) in Ondo State, Comrade Adekunle Obolo, has appointed Mr. Adegoke Adebamiyorin, as the new chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) for the union.
The appointment was made during the union’s monthly meeting with local government chairmen, held on Thursday November 28, 2024, at the union’s headquarters in Akure.
Speaking after his appointment, the new BOT chairman, popularly known as Comrade Adeyori, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the union and its leadership for the appointment.
“I want to appreciate the union and the chairman for appointing me as the BOT chairman, and also want to thank my boss, Comrade Isihaka Kelani, for his support over the years,” he added.
The BOT pledged to work collaboratively with other members of the Board of Trustees across local governments as well as members of the union.
Adeyori also announced that a meeting of BOT members has been scheduled for January 2025 to discuss matters related to the union’s interests.
