Christians have been admonished to use the ongoing Lenten period to right their wrongs as well as endeavour to fulfill promises made to their fellow human beings.
The Vicar in charge of Danian Marian Memorial Anglican Church, Ikun Akoko, Southwest Local Government Area of Ondo state, Reverend Canon Foluso Ogunsuyi made the admonition during his sermon on Sunday.
Reverend Canon Foluso who said the call became imperative when one considers that lack of sincerity, honesty transparency and fulfillment of promise brought the country to where we are today.
According to him, it is when we do all these things that the kingdom of heaven we are seeking will be given to us.
Meanwhile, the cleric while commending Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for the unprecedented achievements recorded by his administration in the last three years in the state appealed to him to kindly execute all the projects inaugurated to mark his third year in office like Oba Akoko to Ikun to Afo and Idoani where the deplorable condition of the road contributed to banditry, armed robbery and kidnapping.
Ogunsuyi gave kudos to Akeredolu in the area of payment of workers wages and pensions but called on him replicate same in the payment of the backlog of gratuities.
