A pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, the Defense for Yoruba People’s Right (DYPR) has called on the factional leader of Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, to embrace peace and accept the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.

The Yoruba group also asked him to congratulate the president-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and bury his thought and believe that the victory will be upturned.

The group also stressed the needs for the flag bearers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar and its counterpart in the Labour Party, Peter Obi to stop acting like a bad loser over the outcome of the February 25 general election.

The group in a statement made available to Journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday by its National President, Otunba Muyideen Olamoyegun, said the National Leader of the apex socio-cultural organization, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti has spoken the mind of the Yorubas  on the outcome of the election.

Pa Fasoranti had in a letter in the name of Afenifere congratulated the President-elect and asked him to focus on how to administer the country.

The DYPR  asked Adebanjo to summon the courage and congratulate the President-elect.

Describing the election as one of the best in the history of the country democratic system, Olamoyegun noted that the entire process of the general elections had been free, fair, credible and complied with best international practices.

The group assured the people of the country that the president-elect will display uncommon  leadership traits and deployed the competence and enduring capacities of a pan-Nigeria cabinet in his government to achieve great and giants strides in Nigeria.
