For allegedly having carnal knowledge of a minor, an Osogbo Magistrate court has remanded a 42-year-old man.

Oyewole Rasaki, was said to have committed the crime on January 7, 2019 at 9:40pm at Oke-Baale area in Osogbo Magisterial district.

The Police prosecutor, Inspector, Oladoye Joshua, disclosed that the accused unlawfully and indecently had carnal knowledge of one Yusuf Balikis, aged 12 years.

 Rasaki denied the allegations against him and pleaded not guilty to the crime.

The offence contravened section(360) and (218) of the Criminal  Code Cap 34.Vol II Laws of Osun State, 2002.

 Rasaki’s counsel, Barr A.O Emmanuel, prayed the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal term. He promised that he would not jump bail.

 The Magistrate, Mr Olusegun Ayilara refused the accused bail and ordered his remand in prison custody.

 He adjourned the case till March 8, 2019 for hearing.
