As Christians across the world celebrate Easter today, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Chief Olamide Oladiji, has called on them to pray for Nigeria and reflect on the resurrection of Jesus Christ by showing love to one another.
In a goodwill message personally signed by the Speaker in Akure, he charged Christian faithful to imbibe the spirit of humility and holiness as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
While urging them to emulate His doctrine in faith and hope, he admonished Christians in Ondo State to continue working for the overall interest of the state and Nigeria by promoting perseverance, peace and unity.
Oladij used the opportunity to express profound appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for the various landmark achievements recorded by his administration since assuming office. He prayed that the resurrection of Jesus Christ would bring happiness to all and sundry.
While wishing all Christians a peaceful and joyous Easter celebration, the Speaker emphasised the need to remain steadfast in faith and committed to values that foster a better society.
