Ondo EXCO members, Govt House media team, others celebrate him
…hail his leadership style, development strides
Members of the Ondo State Executive Council have celebrated the governor of the state, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his 61st birthday, describing him as a visionary leader whose administration has continued to drive development, stability and innovation across the state.
In a congratulatory message issued to mark the governor’s birthday, the council praised Dr. Aiyedatiwa’s unwavering commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, urban renewal and the security of lives and property.
The council noted that since assuming office, the governor’s leadership has inspired renewed hope and progress, positioning Ondo State on the path of sustainable growth and prosperity.
The message averred that the governor’s dedication to public service and inclusive governance has earned admiration within and beyond the state, while his policies and programmes have continued to positively impact communities across all sectors.
The SEC said, “On this momentous day, Monday, January 12, 2026, we joyfully extend our warmest birthday wishes to the captain of ‘OUR EASE’ and executive governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, a distinguished leader whose vision, unwavering commitment and passion for public service have transformed the landscape of our beloved Sunshine State, making it a better place for all.
“At 61, your exemplary leadership continues to inspire a new wave of development, growth and innovation. Ondo State is embracing innovation, nurturing prosperity and building a legacy of impactful achievements under your guidance.”
The SEC further described Dr. Aiyedatiwa’s life of service as a beacon of integrity and progress, expressing pride in being part of his administration and enduring legacy.
The council also offered prayers for divine wisdom, strength and good health for the governor as he continues to lead the state.
The statement added, “May this birthday mark a celebration of past triumphs, present joy and a future filled with continued success and fulfilment.”
The message was jointly signed by members of the Ondo State Executive Council, including the Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami; the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti; the Chief of Staff, CoS, to the governor, Prince Olusegun Omojuwa; the Head of Service, HoS, Mr. Bayo Philip; Commissioners; Special Advisers; and the Director-General of the Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit.
In a related development, the Government House media team has rejoiced with Governor Aiyedatiwa on his 61st birthday, describing him as a leader whose life and service exemplify excellence, integrity and selfless commitment to humanity.
In their goodwill message, the media team said the governor’s birthday offered an opportunity not only to celebrate his birth but also to reflect on a life devoted to impactful leadership and service to the people of Ondo State.
Noting that Dr. Aiyedatiwa has consistently demonstrated excellence in character and conduct, the team added that his leadership has brought renewed hope and positive change to the state.
The statement averred that the governor’s administration has continued to pursue reforms and people-oriented policies aimed at building a new Ondo State founded on good governance, transparency and sustainable development.
They said, “Governor Aiyedatiwa typifies excellence in candour and conduct. He is a harbinger of good tidings to the people of Ondo State, who God has called to serve.”
The media team expressed pride in working with a reform-minded leader whose dedication to duty and commitment to service have remained unwavering, noting that his approach to governance has inspired confidence and optimism across the state.
The statement further offered prayers for divine strength, wisdom and good health for the governor as he continues to lead the affairs of the state.

The message was jointly signed by members of the Government House Media Team, led by the Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, alongside other media aides.
In his goodwill message, the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, commended Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership style, noting that since assuming office, he has demonstrated exceptional team leadership and a strong commitment to excellence, qualities that have earned his administration commendations from local, national and international observers.
The SSG prayed for more grace and divine endowment for the Governor to continue leading the state to greater heights.
Similarly, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro, described the Governor’s life journey as one marked by determination, purpose and hard work, sustained by the grace of God.
According to Takuro, working with Governor Aiyedatiwa has been a rewarding experience filled with opportunities for learning and wisdom, as well as a shared commitment to delivering tangible results.
He noted that the governor’s unwavering dedication to the welfare of the people, particularly through the implementation of the Our EASE Agenda, has brought smiles to the faces of residents across the state.
Also congratulating the governor, Dr. Olumuyiwa Adu, an Ondo APC chieftain and Founder of the Olumuyiwa Adu Foundation (OAF), said the people of Ondo State are delighted with Governor Aiyedatiwa’s performance, which he noted has exceeded public expectations within just two years.
Dr. Adu highlighted significant infrastructural developments across the state, including road construction and improvements in critical sectors such as health, education, agriculture and water supply.
He also praised the governor’s efforts at boosting commerce and human empowerment by attracting industrial investors to the state, thereby creating jobs and increasing revenue.
