Baptist FC, runners-up in the 2025 edition of the End to Miscreants Football Competition, will face Okelisa FC in the semi-finals of the ongoing second edition of the tournament in Ondo, Ondo State.
Twenty-eight streets registered for this year’s competition, which is being held in Ondo city, Ondo West Local Government Area.
According to the competition’s Sports Director, Ige Oladipo, Italurowo FC will take on Loro FC in the first semi-final on Tuesday, August 25, at 3pm.
Italurowo booked its place in the last four after defeating Losunla, winners of last year’s competition, on penalties in the quarter-finals.
The second semi-final will see Baptist FC, who thrashed Lipakala FC 4-0 in their quarter-final match, battle Okelisa FC on Wednesday, August 26, also at 3pm.
Both semi-final matches will be played at the Ondo Sports Stadium.
Oladipo said the competition was designed to promote peace, youth empowerment and community engagement as part of the broader “End Miscreants” campaign.
He urged young people in Ondo to unite against crime and other social vices, while using football as a platform to foster positive relationships and community development.
“Youths in Ondo must be encouraged to stand together against crime and social vices.
Let’s kick out miscreants, inspire hope and make this second edition bigger, better, and unforgettable,” he said.
The competition is expected to attract supporters from participating communities as the four remaining teams battle for a place in the final.
