Ex-AA National chair, three others docked for forgery

Former National Chairman of Action Alliance, (AA), Mr Kenneth Udeze and three other party members have been re-arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrates Court over conspiracy and alleged forgery of some INEC documents.

Also docked were; Adepoju Adetunji, Olufemi Olanibi, and Ogunmodede Adeloye.
The former National Chairman of the AA had earlier been remanded in prison custody after he was arraigned before the court.
Udeze was arrested by operatives of Zone 11 of the Nigerian Police Force in Osogbo for allegedly forging Independent National Electoral Commissions (INEC) documents prior to the 2018 governorship election in the state.
He was alleged to have replaced the name of the duly elected governorship candidate of the party in Osun State with another person during the 2018 governorship election in the state.
Counsel to the accused persons, Mr M. O. Olaniyan had made an oral application urging the court to grant his clients bail in most liberal term, which was not opposed by the counsel to the complainant, Mr K. A. Salawu.
In his ruling, Magistrate Adebola Ajanaku, granted the accused persons conditional bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
The case was adjourned till December 1, 2020 for hearing.
