Group passes vote of confidence  on Akeredolu

From Jimoh Ahmed, Ikare-Akoko
|
Owo indigenes in Akoko have restated their continued support for the present administration in Ondo State even as they passed a vote of confidence on the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN.

The Owos under the umbrella of Owo Development Association, Akoko Chapter made this known during the election of new leaders to run the affairs of the Ikare Akoko branch of the association in Ikare on Sunday.

Speaking through the new president, Mr John Owoputi, the association said it is impressed by the infrastructural facilities put in place by the Akeredolu-led administration which cut across the length and breadth of the Sunshine State.

The association therefore called on the people of the state to rally round the governor by giving him their unflinching support and undivided loyalty to move the state forward.

Meanwhile, the association has elected new leaders to run its affairs in the next three years.

In a keenly contested election, Mr John Owoputi John emerged the President, Mr Oludolapo Obagbuwa, General Secretary, Mrs Funmilayo Ayeni, Vice President and Pastor Festus Oloye, Assistant General Secretary.

Others are Mrs Elizabeth Omomogbe , Auditor, Mrs Taiwo Olanipekun, Woman Leader, Mrs Orunniyi Oluwaseun, Welfare Director, Mrs Gabriel Folakemi, Director of Socials, Mr Eyinla Gbenga, Chief Whip and Jimoh Ahmed, Director of Publicity/Public Relations.
