A 24- year-old man, Afeez  Adegoroye, who was arrested by operatives of the Western Security Network codenamed Amotekun in Osun State has told the police how he and his accomplice gangraped  a 17-year-old girl.

The suspect, a married man with a child said the victim  was his girlfriend.

He confessed that he and his partner-in-crime, one Olamilekan Elijah gangraped the victim because anytime he requested for sex,  she always refused him.

Adegoroye narrated, “I’m a cocoa seller from Iwo. I am married with a child. I have known the victim since last  year and we have been in a relationship. I raped her because she did not give consent to my sexual demand on the fated day.

“That was our first time of committing such an act. My friend and I, were in the house, when it happened.

He, however, denied he knew the victim was on  her monthly period as she had claimed.”

Also speaking with our Correspondent in a chat, the second suspect, Elijah, aged 24, said, “I am also a cocoa seller and married with a child. I did not partake in the act.

“She is brother Afeez’s girlfriend. We both rented the room. When she came, I was outside to put the generator set on.

“I later came into the room and met them discussing. So, an argument ensued between the duo over sexual advances.

“At that  time, I was only making a video of myself. The girl hit my phone on the ground during the struggle and I held her hands. It was then, brother Afeez tore her pant and forced himself into her.

“I did not partake in it, but I recorded the act on my phone. I recorded her to teach her a lesson.”

The  suspects, it was gathered, admitted to be members of Alora confraternities., which  they joined while at Igbajo Polytechnic.

Confirming the arrest, the field Commander of Amotekun  Corps in Osun, Comrade Amitolu  Shittu said the suspects were  apprehended following a tip-off.

He said the suspects Olamilekan Elijah, and his friend Adegoroye Afeez,, gangraped a lady.

The duo, he stated, claimed to be cocoa and cashew nut sellers and afterwards confirmed that they are members of Alora Fraternities.

According to  Shittu, the case was reported on May 14 , 2022 at Iwo Local Command, and  men of the operatives swung into action to apprehend the suspects without much ado.

He  said, “Elijah is from Ola-Ejigbo ,while Adegoroye is from Oba’s compound, Bodeosi.”

“The 17-year-old victim, an apprentice, who resides at Oke Bode Area of the community was lured into the house Afeez’s house and raped, after which they filmed her nakedness.

“As if that was not enough, the duo suspects threatened her that the video recorded would be released on social media, should she inform anybody of what transpired. “

Shittu said the suspects seized her phone and took it to the Police at Iwo, for a reason yet to be ascertained.”

According to him, investigations revealed  that the suspects are members of the Buccaners confraternity otherwise known as the Alora.
