Insecurity: Ondo NSCDC boss seeks Olowo’s cooperation

The Ondo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ibiloye Joshua, has stated that he will not downplay the role of traditional rulers in the state for effective security management in the Sunshine State.

Joshua stressed the importance of the traditional institutions in stemming the high rate of insecurity in the society.

 He spoke during his visit to the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, in his palace.

He solicited for the cooperation and support of the monarch in his efforts at making sure the state is good, security wise.

The NSCDC state commandant disclosed tha he had it on good ground that, his men in the state, particularly, Owo Kingdom, have been enjoying this gesture overtime from the Olowo and the people of the kingdom.

Responding, the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, congratulated the new Commandant for his posting to the State.

Oba Ogunoye pointed out that he is convinced that Commandant Joshua would discharge his duties responsibly, and in line with the rules of the Corps.

The monarch admonished the Commandant to work with the sister security agencies for maximum and effective operations, particularly against security threats to society.
