Investment House’ll position Ondo as competitive economic hub

By Adedotun Ajayi

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to fostering economic growth and attracting investment as he commissioned the newly completed Investment House in Akure.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony on Thursday, Aiyedatiwa described the initiative as a pivotal step towards transforming the state into a thriving investment destination.

He noted that the facility would serve as a central hub for business activities, streamlining processes to improve the ease of doing business in Ondo.

The governor paid tribute to his late predecessor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who initially conceived the idea of the Investment House as a one-stop centre for investment facilitation.

“Today, we witness the fulfilment of that vision. This facility will foster partnerships between the public and private sectors, providing an enabling environment for investors. Its strategic location in Akure ensures seamless access, further positioning Ondo as a competitive economic hub,” he stated.

Aiyedatiwa reiterated his administration’s resolve to complete inherited projects, stressing that the successful completion of the Investment House underscored his government’s commitment to prudent resource management and sustainable development.

He commended the Ministry of Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, alongside the project contractor, F&B Construction Ltd., for their dedication and professionalism in delivering a world-class structure.

Urging occupants to maintain the facility responsibly, the governor emphasised the importance of preserving the edifice as a symbol of Ondo’s investment drive.

“This building should stand as a beacon of economic progress, reflecting our state’s determination to attract investors and drive development,” he added.

Engr. Olawoye Ayorinde Abiola, the Senior Special Assistant on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, lauded Aiyedatiwa for prioritising youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, while Emmanuel Omomowo, Administrative Secretary of the Ondo State Development and Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA), hailed the project as a landmark achievement in the state’s economic agenda.
