Indeed, love may know no boundaries; whether age, time or class.

Pelumi is in love with a lady almost twice his age. The lady in question is in her late twenties while pelumi is 15 years old. Despite the difference in their ages, the young boy desired Funmilayo desperately.

Pelumi is a simple boy learning the barbing craft. Although he goes to school, he has problem understanding his studies. Despite his age, he was still in primary six at the local authority primary school in our neighbourhood. Some people call him daft but he seemed sharp enough going by the subsequent development.

His parents who seemed to be at their wit’s end registered him at a barber’s shop so he could learn the trade. He goes to school in the morning and retires to the barber’s shop in the afternoon after school’s closing hours.

His travail began when he got his eyes fixated on his boss’ niece. Funmilayo is a pretty young woman living with her uncle with the hope of getting work in the city. She is a darling to all the young kids around and she often played with them.

She was particularly fond of Pelumi because people do pick on him especially his boss’ wife. She would attack him at the slightest opportunity and she was often on his case over petty issues.

All these made Funmilayo to pick interest in him and she would call him her boyfriend while he would smile sheepishly. He saw her as his only ally among wicked adults. He believed that she must return his feelings going by her affectionate nature towards him.

Unknown to the young lady, the simple boy had begun to develop tender feelings for her. He willingly ran errands for her and it was evident that he dotes on her.

He was already having sexual feelings for her and was looking forward to a period when he would be able to have his way with her.

Opportunity presented itself one day when only two of them were in the shop watching a movie. Pelumi suddenly held Funmilayo and pulled her into his arms for a kiss.

To say that the lady was shocked would be an understatement. It caught her unaware and the boy was able to steal a kiss before she could pull out of his embrace and dealt him a stinging slap on his cheeks.

His eyes cleared and he quickly realized that he was in  deep trouble. He began to plead with her so she would not tell her uncle but his pleas were in.

As she telling her uncle, he tried to bolt but a customer at the shop held him fast. The man was shocked that the teenage boy could try such. He took his koboko and whipped him mercilessly.

He cried piteously like a trapped rabbit but his boss would have none of it.

He eventually sent him packing saying that if Pelumi could molest his niece who was almost twice his age, then his little daughter was not safe.
