Man cheats death in Ondo

A 40-year-old man, Akin Ayomide has escaped death by the whisker after a vehicle rammed into his bus along Adepetu road in Ondo West Local Government Area of the state.

The accident involved a metalic Toyota Sienna Jeep with number plate Ondo AKR 28 AM and a commercial cab.

The Hope Metro gathered that the Metalic Sienna, which was coming from Itanla on top speed was trying to dodge a pothole when he served and hit another car from the rear resulting to the vehicle falling into a ditch.

It was also learnt that some good Samaritans, who rushed to the scene rescued the injured driver out of the ditch.

Speaking with an eyewitness, Mr Paul Adewole, he said the Toyota Sienna was coming from itanla with high speed and ran into a pothole which swap his hand and hit another car from the back and ran into the ditch.

Also speaking with the owners of the other car, Mr Emmanuel Okoye said “his body was still shaking after the incident. I can’t say what happened to the man that came to hit my car. All I want to say is, thank God because I am alive.

The injured drivers were rushed to the State Specialist Hospital, in Ondo, for treatment by men of the Federal Road Safety Commission and other rescue workers that were at the scene.
